Wales a distant memory

It is a week since we had that wonderful morning on the Beach. the weather has been quite bad in comparison, so we were lucky. I hope that you have had a lovely week.
The lasting memory for me would be the energy and enthusiasm you showed for getting on with things.
this should be a lesson to you, and you should trust your talent and decision making. also, ask questions of the brief before you go ahead...

Trolley

What I noticed when I looked at the trollies you kindly drew...
1 not many could be pushed into each other in a line...
2 lovely wire detail
3 some odd wheel arrangements
4 some accuracy, some approximation and some charm.
5 this got me thinking about character.

striving for the real, and the accurate diagram, can sometimes inhibit and extinguish character. a question you need to ask when given an open brief like this is (like one of you said, full or empty) what is the function of this Drawing? is it for accurate detail of the _____? or for representation of the essence of the _________?
decide what the center is. the function of the drawing. If you don't know - ask the questions!
Formal? informative? deviant? abstracted/essence? characterful?

two Blog as springboards

Temple of Seven Golden camels is a blog by storyboard artist Mark Kennedy from CA.

Good links to trawl through too.
The lines and colors is another good springboard blog, with catagories and a lot of capacity to drill down and explore.
